If you read our last blog, you might remember that we focused on the medical applications of magsic mushrooms, and spoke about recent advancements and renewed study of the potential of shrooms (psylicobin.) We revealed how many people who were never interested in recreational drugs are finding new life through magic mushrooms, reporting that it is helping them with things like depression, PTSD, and the like. Here, we are going to talk about the side of shrooms that many of those who are looking to buy shrooms online Canada wide might be more familiar with- the recreational aspect. Most people first heard of Magic Mushrooms, Richmond resident and shroom advocate Peter S. tells us, back in their younger days, long before the legalization of cannabis or the increasing destigmatization of plant medicine.
In those days, he points out, no one was thinking about shrooms as any kind of medicine – at least none of the people he knew! We asked Peter to gather some of his friends, original magic mushroom OG’s into a virtual zoom conference to share some stories of their early shroom trips. Four enthusiastic trippers – Samantha R, Terry P, Andrew A, and Gary H – were happy to share their stories – and we’re happy to share them with you to give you an insight into tripping in the early days! Peter took the virtual floor first : “The first time I did shrooms was classic. We were in college, we had left Vancouver for some old school camping, my best friend, his wife, and my girlfriend at the time! I remember walking for hours and talking about all the revelations that came into our heads! And I think there were a lot of them!” Samantha said she remembers her first time as far more contemplative. A writer, she said she decided to dose alone and spent her time journalling – inspired by the writings of Aldous Huxley.
Terry said it was a creative revelation for her, too. Though she had taken shrooms with friends, she was still tripping when she got home, and one of the songs she wrote way back then is still in her repertoire today. The whole group laughed as they spoke of the feeling they all have that their experiences with magic mushrooms had and continue to have a positive impact on their lives to this day. It was fun to listen!
